Remodeling companies tend to fall into 1 of 3 when it comes to references.
Company #1: They have ZERO references to speak of. They’re either too inexperienced or just don’t care enough to track their customers’ satisfaction. You can probably hire Company #1 for a cheap price, but we don’t usually recommend it. When it comes to a project as big as remodeling, there is a HUGE difference between getting value for your dollar and getting the cheapest possible price.
Company #2: Company #2 can supply one or two references, but that’s it. While that’s better than having none, it’s usually not enough to give you a true sense of the company.
Company #3: Finally, Company #3 will happily provide you with as many references as you want to talk to. This is how we do business. We believe you should speak to as many past customers as you feel are necessary.
Feel Awkward Calling Our Past Customers? You Shouldn’t.
It might feel slightly uncomfortable calling our references. But remember that they have agreed to help answer your questions, so they will happily take your call.
We’ll even help you figure out what to ask them. Here are a few questions to get you started:
- What is your overall satisfaction with the results produced by Colorado Living?
- Were there any issues, and if so, how were they handled?
- If you needed them, were they available and responsive?
- Did you ever feel pressured or stressed by Colorado Living?
- If you did it over again, would you use them?
